Teros Home Security System
Simple, Complete Home Protection
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Teros connects and protects your entire home—not just a single room, like many other all-in-one home security devices. We partnered with a third-party vendor called Abode, who developed the hardware, while Asurion handled the rebranding. Since May 2017, the Teros Home Security System has been available in all 24 Verizon stores across the pilot region of North Georgia. The primary goal of this product was to explore the home security market.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Collaborated with marketing account managers, project managers, copywriters, and sales representatives to deliver a wide range of assets across print and digital channels.
Projects included consumer packaging, printed materials, website design, marketing plan layouts, emails, social media assets, brand creation, and other communications. Also directed the animation agency (Pigeon) to produce videos and GIF animations.

DISCOVERY PROCESS
These screens represent a high-level view of the business goals and the final vision. They illustrate the end-to-end business design, culminating in the final kiosk experience at the Verizon store.

MOBILE APP
Abode developed the app, and we worked to rebrand and tweak it to modify it for Asurion. We made the necessary modifications to ensure that the app aligned with Asurion's brand identity and provided the desired user experience, just as the hardware did.

FINAL WEBSITE DESIGN
Designed and built teroshome.com website with our branding messages with warm, friendly, reliable and same visual language.

ONBOARDING EXPERIENCE - USER TESTING
We tested onboarding experience at the office with two product directors and one engineer. Here are some of the issues we found during testing. Based on our testing, we tried to fix the problems for improvement.

Needed to speak with a Teros Guardian agent to confirm whether activation/payment was required before beginning the setup process with a live agent.
Response time was slow—it took approximately 4 minutes to connect with a live agent via chat.
Asurion packaging did not include any printed setup guides.
The Teros Home app name needed correction—it was listed inconsistently.
The installation URL (teroshome.com/install) was broken.
When accessing the Teros Help app through the Teros Home app, there was no option to exit the chat thread and switch to a voice call.
EMAIL CAMPAIGNS
I was excited to design marketing assets such as emails and advertising banners for Facebook. It reminded me of my time working at an agency. I made sure to align the branding and maintain a consistent message and tone of voice in collaboration with the marketing team.
