SanDisk was one of our biggest clients when I worked at Loomis Group from 2008 to 2010. Loomis Group was a marketing agency, so we created and implemented a marketing strategy, branding, supporting digital marketing materials to increase the sales of a company. SanDisk is a manufacturer of flash memory products, including memory cards and readers, USB flash drives, and solid-state drives. Most of our design projects were relative those products.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITY
Created the design and redesign of SanDisk products, behavior change platforms, and communications. Collaborated and contributed to design for SanDisk, with a focus on branding, micro-site, widget, banner animation, motion graphic and email templet. Worked with marketing account managers, developers, project managers, and other designers.
Received directions and feedback from the creative director in the interactive team.
MOOD BOARD AND MOTION GRAPHIC
Most of the time we presented two to three mood boards from each design team to a client and let them choose one of them. This is a mood board for SanDisk’s YouTube channel that represents our general ideas and design concepts.
Animated the motion graphic for SanDisk website. Kept same design language that we used on the mood board and designed in After Effect. This video won the platinum prize at the Marcom Awards in 2013.
WEB WIDGET DESIGN ON STAPLES
Designed the widget on Staples website for SanDisk. We had very smiler design processes like other products to deliver following steps: Brainstorming - Drew rough ideas and layouts - Created visual mockups - Presented and refined the work - Built the design - Presented final site.
EMAIL MARKETING CAMPAIGN
One of the best ways to improve results is by scheduling our emails and knowing how often to send to subscribers. We sent to subscribers two times a month regularly and kept changes with attractive subjects, graphics to match according to the season. We discussed each email’s concept with a product manager, a marketing account manager, and a copywriter. Our last email CTR was 10% higher than the first.
